Historically glass is something quite expensive and not widely used in China. It was equivalent of crystal to a certain degree, as can be seen in museums.

For modern architectural use,glass is quite common in Beijing,mostly as curtain wall elements. A unique one is the national skating rink venue,nicknamed Ice Ribbon.The glass used there in complicated 3 dimensional curved surfaces deserve a visit.imo
